Amazon launches 55-inch Fire Smart TV deal for just £149.99 for Black Friday

If you're looking for a new TV in time for Christmas, then Black Friday may be the perfect time to get shopping - due to the heavy discounts on all things tech.

And Amazon may well have the perfect deal for you, with £400 off a high-quality Smart TV.

No stranger to the flurry of deals on and around Black Friday, Amazon has launched a 55-inch Fire TV for just £149.99. Yes...you read that correctly.

This top of the range Smart television usually retails for £549.99, but shoppers can get it for just £149.99 in the online marketplace's Black Friday bonanza. That's a 73% reduction on a quality bit of kit.

But shoppers beware, it's an invite-only deal, which means that shoppers will have to receive an exclusive invitation from Amazon should they want to snag the savings. For the first time in history, Amazon is offering the deal via email to Prime members - so you'll have to sign up here if you want your chance.

The Amazon 55" Smart Fire TV gives viewers 4K Ultra HD quality, offering a crystal clear picture with the brightest colours and tones when watching. For gamers, it streams in up to 60fps, so you'll be incredibly unlucky to suffer framerate drop when playing Call of Duty, Fortnite or the new Forza Horizon.

It has built-in Dolby Digital Plus which gives off a booming surround sound across compatible devices like speakers and sound bars alike, and is equipped with a whole host of applications like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and many many more at your fingertips. You can also download your own apps and games through the Amazon Appstore.

Prime members can save £400 on this TV through the invite-only link, but Amazon aren't the only retailer with alluring deals on televisions and home entertainment systems right now. Selling for just £129 at John Lewis, a compact TV works equally as well streaming your favourite shows and movies or as a gaming monitor.
