Angela Scanlon broke down in tears on live TV on Monday, as she admitted she was dealing with the 'pain' of her Strictly Come Dancing exit and also admitted she was now 'triggered' by the song that soundtracked what was to be her final routine.

Given her competitive Irish dance experience and her popularity with viewers, TV presenter Angela was installed as one of the early favourites to win the new series of Strictly with many bookies and she did her chances no harm, after she and pro partner Carlos Gu topped the leaderboard early doors thanks to their energetic Charleston in Movie Week.

And, unfortunately for Angela, that meant that she was then put at the big tip to get the boot, heading into Saturday night.

What was to be Angela's last performance, saw her and Carlos do a cha cha cha to I Will Survive, with the timing of them dancing to that particular song now proving to be way off the mark, as they lost the latest dance-off to Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin.

Sticking with tradition, as all eliminated couples do, Angels and Carlos appeared as guests on Monday evening's edition of It Takes TWo and it was after being shown a montage of their Strictly best bits that Angela was reduced to tears.

And, as she became visibly emotional, Angela also admitted she wouldn't be listening to I Will Survive anytime soon, responding: "I don't know if anyone feels they go out on a high, do they? The song is a bit painful to listen to now let's be honest. I will survive feels a bit like salt in the wound considering we didn't,
