Were you a big fan of Newcastle's nightlife back in 1999? Ahead of the new Millennium, the city centre was - as ever - a buzzing place to be on a Friday night.
These 10 photographs of lads and lasses having the time of their lives might well back bring back some hazy memories, we hope they give you a smile and remind you of a misspent youth!

Those appearing in this round up were snapped an eye-watering 24 years ago - though of course perhaps not every one of them can remember this night!
1999 was a year of bubblegum pop - with the biggest selling music track of the year being the unmistakeable "Hit Me Baby One More Time" by pop princess Britney Spears. Like many, she's had quite the rollercoaster since then.
Politically, the UK was still in the throes of optimism inspired by Tony Blair's New Labour project, while in the sporting world, Manchester United's treble - not repeated until this year - stole the headlines.
In the cinemas, it was the year of The Matrix, Eyes Wide Shut, and Toy Story 2 - to name but three, wildly different, Box Office smashes. For comedy fans though, American Pie might be the film you remember....
