Cheryl is now the only one of Girls Aloud NOT to drop a hint about the band getting back together, although it looks likely that that will all change by Wednesday evening, as fans are now convinced that a reunion announcement is happening on Thursday.

It's been a few weeks since rumours started to swirl that the group, formed on ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002, were reuniting, just over two years after the death of fifth member Sarah Harding, aged just 39, after a brave battle with cancer. Having joined forces to honour her at a number of fundraising events, Cheryl, together with Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts look set to answer the prayers of fans who have been crying out for them to tour again.

Insiders claimed that the four singers gathered in 'secret' to shoot what could turn out to be a video for their new single and it was Nicola that first sent Girls Aloud fans into a frenzy, when she posted a short clip on her Instagram on Sunday night, featuring a big screen, very like the ones in The Promise video, carrying the number 4.

Kimberley was next to go on Monday when she posted an identical video, only this time with 3 on the screen, leading fans to think the ladies were counting down to a major announcement. That theory looks like being very much spot on , after Nadine followed suit with a 2 post on Tuesday night, leaving just Cheryl, who presumably will signal the 1 day to go countdown on Wednesday.

She is the only one of the group still to 'break cover' on the reunion hype and fans are now thinking and hoping that something big will be revealed by Girls Aloud on Thursday, November 23, 11 years after they announced plans for their first comeback, which saw them release Something New for Children in Need and brings out greatest hits collection Ten.

Ten was also the name of the nationwide 'best of' tour that packed out arenas across the country in 2013 and hopes are high that Cheryl, Nadine, Kimberley and Nicola will soon be hitting the road once again on a new tour.
