Ice cream fans will want to rush to their local Farmfoods to pick up a popular KitKat sweet treat which had previously vanished from shelves across the UK. While Nestle's KitKat ice cream was never technically axed, it's something of a rare gem to come across nowadays - regularly disappearing into the void and sporadically landing on freezer shelves every now and again.

The tub, which combines chocolate and wafer flavoured ice creams is lashed with chocolate swirls and KitKat pieces, and has been once again spotted in the wild at Farmfoods. Taking to the Ultimate Food & Snack Finds UK Facebook group, one user, posted: "The discontinued Kit Kat Ice Cream Tub has made a reappearance at Farmfoods."

And other shoppers were quick to express their excitement and reveal their own plans to hunt down the ice cream - which is regularly thought to have been culled due to frequent disappearances. One user, exlaimed: "WHATTTT," while another, went on: "Mmmm want it."

The Mirror reports that a third, added: "I'll have to get bigger clothes." The ice cream has also been spotted in Home Bargains earlier this year, with the budget buyer stocking it in a StarBuy deal for just 99p. Tubs of the frozen treat are also listed on the Co-Op's website for £3.30, but these are only available to order online.

It comes after shoppers spotted a new KitKat mint cookies and cream at B&M earlier this week, made up of baked wafer and mint cookies and cream, before being wrapped in a sweet milk chocolate. And elsewhere, Nestle earlier this month announced that it would be axing the iconic Caramac product - sparking one lover of the unique chocolate bar to launch a petition.

At the time of writing 'Save Caramac' has more than 30,000 signatures and pleads Nestle to reconsider discontinuing the product. Writing in the description of his cause, Gary Millar, said: "Of course there are more important causes, but this nostalgic sweet petition is gaining national interest…

"As a lover of Caramac bars, I am deeply saddened by the potential discontinuation of this beloved treat. The unique blend of caramel and white chocolate has been delighting taste buds for over 50 years since it was first produced by Mackintosh's in 1959. Its smooth texture and toffee-like flavour have made it a favourite among many, including myself.

"Unfortunately, there is growing concern that production may cease due to changes in consumer preferences and market trends. This would be a significant loss not only for those who enjoy Caramac bars but also for our shared cultural heritage. The UK confectionery industry is worth £1.1 billion annually (according to Mintel), and iconic products like Caramac contribute significantly to its success.

"We cannot let this piece of confectionery history fade away without a fight. By signing this petition, you are showing your support for preserving the production of Caramac bars and ensuring future generations can enjoy its unique taste as we have.

"Please sign this petition today to help save our beloved Caramac!"
