Alnwick born fighter Cyrus Pattinson is hoping to take the next step in his career with a statement win over former British Welterweight Champion Chris Jenkins as the paid clash for the vacant WBA International Title. The two men will fight at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on March 18th as part of Matchroom Boxing's NXTGEN card, featuring some of the North-East's most prestigious talents.

Olympians Pat McCormack and Calum French will also be on display along with fellow North East talents Mark Dickinson and Robert Ismay as Eddie Hearn brings boxing back to Newcastle. Pattinson will be looking to continue his unbeaten run as a professional after a glistening amateur career.

But Jenkins, who lost to Tyrone McKenna on 6th August 2022 by unanimous decision in his last 10 round fight, will be hoping to prove he's not on the slide. The stats suggest Pattinson has a power advantage over Jenkins with 60% knock out percentage over Jenkins' 35%, but with experience on his side, the Welshman will prove a stern test.
