Newcastle born Lewis Ritson knows a win over fierce rival Ohara Davies would propel him back into the spotlight and another shot at a world title. The Forest Hall fighter will face the winner of Alberto Puello - current titleholder - and Rolando Romero, who're set to fight in May.

The WBA Super-Lightweight bout will see two of the country's best talents go head-to-head with a shot at a world title for the winner. Ritson is ranked fourth in the WBA's Super-Lightweight standings with opponent Davies coming in at number two.

Both fighters have had their fair share of setbacks in their career, but both have responded well to defeats. Ritson has bounced back from his loss to hard-hitting Jeremias Ponce in 2021 with two wins in three months against Christian Uruzquieta and Dejan Zlaticanin, between December 2021 to March 2022, but hasn't fought in almost a year.
