Jill Scott has admitted she's jealous of the cast of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! while reflecting on her own stint with the show last year - which saw her crowned Queen of the Jungle. The former SAFC Ladies footballer and Lioness beat Owen Warner and Matt Hancock to the crown in 2022, after becoming a fan favourite on the show.

And she has now spoken fondly with regards to her time in the camp, as she approaches the one-year anniversary of her I'm A Celeb victory. Speaking to The Mirror ahead of this year's show, she said: "They all are going to have the best time! I’m jealous of them!"

"It’s not easy but it’ll be a great experience for all of them."

And Jill's glowing review of her own experience comes just days before one of this year's contestant had quit the show on medical grounds, with Grace Dent departing yesterday (November 27). The 50-year-old food critic has already made her way back to the UK, with Danielle Harold stepping in to cover the Down The Tubes trial that she was nominated for on set.

However, Jill's experience was much more enjoyable, holding many fond memories of camp and the time spent with other celebrities. She added: "I look back on my time in the jungle and really laugh and appreciate those moments spent with contestants.

"You get to really know the other celebs on the show, which I loved." Jill, from Sunderland, also offered her best words of wisdom for contestants taking part in this year's series. She said: "Really it’s just about having as much fun as you can, really throw yourself into it and embrace the experience because it is such a once in a lifetime experience.

"Also, the people you’re with will be the best support in jungle so have as many laughs as you can! I still have some great friends from my time on the show, Chris Moyles I really bonded with and I’m looking forward to the new season getting properly started."

Dent's departure comes after she suffered a nasty cockroach attack while sporting an American football helmet filled with bugs in a Bushtucker trial. She screamed to producers: "There’s one in my ear! There’s one in my ear! That’s not nice, I can hear it," before receiving medical attention to have it removed.

Speaking to Josie Gibson, she later confessed: "I’ve completely had enough. I just want to go home," before admitting in the Bush Telegraph: "I haven’t got a lot left in me at the moment. I’m just keeping on a face for everybody."

Grace's departure was announced in a statement by ITV yesterday, which read: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."
