Josie Gibson has sparked a flurry of complaints from annoyed I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here viewers, after going 'missing' from the show and suffering from a lack of air time.

Ahead of the likes of well fancied co-stars Fred Sirieix and Sam Thompson in the early odds on who was going to win the ITV jungle crown this year, This Morning host Josie was one of the contestants viewers were most looking forward to seeing in action. However, after a week that saw clashes between the likes of Fred, Nigel Farage and Nella Rose become the major talking points, as well as Jamie-Lynn Spears talking about sister Britney and then 'walking out' of camp, Josie hasn't featured on screen as much as her fans would like.

The first week of I'm A Celebrity's return also saw a lot of airtime given to the late arrivals of Frankie Dettori and Tony Bellew and the split in camp brought about by their late entrance and, while Josie has been seen enjoying a few jokes with Nigel, after taking part in an unexpected first challenge with the outspoken politician and was the first to quiz Jamie-Lynn on her family, she has somewhat faded into the background, with ITV coming under fire for giving other stars 'all the limelight.'

That will all change on Monday night, when she and Danielle Harold, having been called up to do the trial in the aftermath of Grace Dent's I'm A Celebrity exit, will take on Down The Tubes, And, after Ant and Dec announced Josie had been voted for by the public to take on the scary looking task, many viewers expressed their relief that she'd been given a decent amount of time on TV.

Taking to X, as credits rolled on Sunday's episode, one viewer wrote: "Want to see so much more of Josie. She's not getting any airtime. It's not fair.," with a second, echoing the same sentiments, reacting: "josie getting the airtime she deserves i love her"

It was ITV who confirmed that Danielle would be joining Josie for the Bushtucker Trial after Grace's departure was announced, with ex EastEnders star taking her place having finished third in the viewer vote.
