Shoppers have been replacing their expensive beauty products for Aldi's latest Lacura Almond skincare range. Not only have customers been impressed by the new collection's price tag, but also by how similar the products are to a much more costly luxury brand.

On popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, where savvy shoppers regularly share their bargain finds, one Aldi fan made a post about the budget supermarket's new Lacura Almond Skin Care range. "For anyone who loves the L’Occitane almond collection, here’s one for you. It smells exactly the same, it’s slightly more greasy but very nice feeling on the skin," group member Clare wrote.

L'Occitane en Provence is a popular luxury French retailer, which sells all sorts of body, face, hair, fragrances, and home products. Prices vary but tend to be in at least double figures.

One of its bestselling collections is its Amande rage - which is French for almond. Included is the high-end store's Luxury Size Almond Shower Oil (£35), Almond Milk Concentrate (£44) and Almond Shower Scrub (£21.50).

But it seems many shoppers are opting for Aldi's versions of the three beauty products, with some claiming they are 'exactly the same'. Aldi's Lacura Almond Skin Care collection consists of an Exfoliating Almond Body Scrub (£4.99), Gentle Almond Shower Oil (£4.99) and Nourishing Almond Body Lotion (£4.99).

Altogether, the three Lacura items will set shoppers back just under £15 - a saving of £100.50. Clare's post quickly caught attention, with many people leaving comments.

Wendy replied: "I've tried these products they're not bad for the money." Magdalena added: "I got them and showed oil is very similar to L'occitane. Body butter not that much but shower oil is amazing." Mathew put: "The shower oil is actually really good! Tried it this evening but a little goes a LONG way trust me I had to rinse for ages."

On another popular Facebook group called Aldi UK Shoppers, another fan called Beverley mentioned how similar the products are to L'Occitane. "Managed to pick up one of these this morning. Dupe of the Loccitane version. Gotta love an Aldi beauty dupe," she said.

Wendy asked: "Does it have the same almond smell?", to which Beverley replied: "Yes it does." Eleri said: "Just been out and managed to get all 3 Almond bits, can’t wait to try them, they smell the same, but the cream is a little bit more synthetic imo, but amazing for the price." However, Ashleigh warned: "It was a lot smaller than I thought, only 200ml!"

Elsewhere, there are plenty of other almond shower gels, scrubs and lotions available to buy on the market. The Body Shop is selling a 250ml bottle of Almond Milk Shower Cream for £8. Over on Beauty Pie, shoppers can get a 500ml bottle of Super Healthy Skin's Moisturizing Shea Butter Suds Body Wash for £10 - was £30.

A bottle of Neal Yard Remedies' almond oil can also be purchased for £12 - down from £15. For a cheap option, Superdrug has a bottle of Vitamin E & Almond Body Wash for £2.29.
