Hello and welcome to our live blog coverage of Sunderland vs Huddersfield Town from the Stadium of Light. After Saturday's defeat to Plymouth Argyle, it's a chance for Tony Mowbray's men to get back to winning ways on home soil.

Sunderland have a won their last two home fixtures 3-1, against Norwich and Birmingham, and would welcome a similar result tonight. Darren Moore's Terriers have been struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table, but were buoyed by a 1-1 draw with promotion candidates Southampton last time out, and their injury issues are beginning to ease.

Tony Mowbray missed the pre-match media duties due to illness but is expected to be able to take his place on the touchline tonight as usual. Mason Burstow and Chris Rigg are expected to be added to tonight's squad, but Jewison Bennette is again ruled out.

James Hunter is at the Stadium of Light to bring you all the latest build up, team news, match analysis and reaction as it happens.

FT. Sunderland 1-2 Huddersfield Town

And that's that.

Sunderland were poor. Really poor.

Goals from Helik and Burgzorg, either side of one from Sunderland skipper O'Nien, have given Huddersfield a much-needed boost in their battle against relegation.

But for Sunderland, this was a second damaging defeat in the space of five days against a side at the wrong end of the table.

Sunderland slip to 11th.
