Tesco announced a massive giveaway of a massive £1million worth of gift cards to its shoppers in the run up to Christmas. Launching its ‘Win your Christmas Shop’ prize draw, lucky shoppers have a chance to win a £250 gift voucher, and a £250 gift card for their nearest and dearest, or for charity.
The giveaway launched on Monday, November 27 and will run until Sunday, December 17. Each winner can spend their £250 e-gift card in-store to help them get ready for Christmas, or to treat themselves.
This could be using the voucher to try some of the new festive food and drink range such as the Tesco Finest 10 Mini Ham Hock & Cheddar Crumpets, Tesco Finest Free Range Bronze Turkey Crown or even the new Tesco Pigs In Blankets Topped Steak Pie. Winners could also choose to buy some treats and gifts ready to put under the tree or some new Christmas decorations.
The giveaway is available exclusively for Tesco Clubcard members. Shoppers will have three chances to win, with one entry permitted each week over the three-week period. Tesco’s competition is open now at TescoWinYourChristmasShop.com.
The announcement comes after calls for shoppers to spend their Clubcard vouchers before the end of November. The supermarket has said more than £16million worth of Clubcard vouchers will no longer be available to use after the end of November. The vouchers, which were first issued back in November 2021, are redeemable until then.
Emma Botton, Tesco Group Customer Director, said: “We want to help customers’ household budgets stretch further right now and Clubcard is the best way to get great value with Tesco. With more than £16m worth of Clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of November, we’re reminding customers to spend them now – or even use them to get ahead with some early Christmas shopping.”
How to spend Tesco Clubcard vouchers
There are two ways to earn your vouchers from Tesco, either by downloading the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app or via your Clubcard account. Vouchers can then be spent in-store, online or with one of their Reward Partners.
Sign in to the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app or go to 'My Clubcard account'
Select the button to turn your Clubcard points into vouchers
Select 'Request vouchers'
Your vouchers will appear in your Clubcard account in seconds
What you need to know before you request vouchers
When you turn your points into vouchers, your statement will no longer be sent by post but instead will be automatically sent to your registered email address.
You need at least 150 points to request a voucher.
When you request a voucher, all of the points you have will be turned into vouchers.
Any points you collect, spend or have refunded will be processed within 24 hours and your points balance will be updated.
Points collection periods are quarterly and end in May, August, November and February (exact dates vary). You can't request vouchers for two weeks before the end of each collection period.
