Travel Tuesday is here, meaning there are some deals and discounts to be had on holidays if the cold and dark winter days have left you in desperate need of a getaway.
Travel Tuesday is a day that is becoming an increasingly popular occasion for travel and holiday providers to drop prices on the likes of flights and hotels the day after Cyber Monday, meaning this year it falls on November 28. With all the major UK airlines already running special offers for Black Friday, Travel Tuesday has seen many of these discounts extended to give customers more chance to snap them up before they go.
Jet2, easyJet and Ryanair all have sales on this week for the event, with cheap flights from under £15 up for grabs as well as package holidays for as little as under £280 for seven nights abroad. Here's everything you need to know about the offers, prices and discount codes at the major UK airlines.
Jet2
Jet2 has extended its Black Friday deals for Travel Tuesday, offering 10% off on all flights until March 2024 - plus an extra 10% off for anyone with a MyJet2 account. Plus, over at Jet2holidays, there are savings to be had of up to £60 per person on package holidays, which can again be doubled if you have a MyJet2 account - so if you don't already have one, it's worth signing up for free.
These offers mean you can currently fly with Jet2 from Newcastle this December to Majorca from £29, Malaga from £31, or Vienna, Berlin, Copenhagen or Budapest from £47, with plenty more destinations to choose from. Meanwhile, a seven-night package holiday flying from Newcastle with Jet2 can be snapped up for as little as £279 per person to stay in Albir, Costa Blanca.
easyJet
EasyJet has launched an Orange Drop sale for Travel Tuesday, offering jet-setters up to 10% off winter flights for travel between December and January, as well as extra savings on selected winter package holidays - just make sure you book before the deals come to an end at 11pm on Friday, December 1. EasyJet winter destinations from Newcastle include Belfast, Bristol and Geneva, with prices starting from as little as £16.49 in the sale.
Ryanair
Ryanair is continuing to run its Cyber Week deals, with holidaymakers able to get 10% off flights between December and March by using the code CWNYG10P at the checkout, as well as 20% off flights to Ireland between December 1 and February 29. Ryanair's winter destinations from Newcastle include Dublin from just £13.49 and Faro from £17.99 - book by Thursday, November 30 to make the most of the discounts.
Ryanair is also offering savings on airport parking, car hire and in-flight food and drink offers for Cyber Week. If you want to treat a loved one to a trip, gift cards are available to purchase from the airline too with values between £25 and £1,000.
TUI
And finally, while TUI isn't offering deals specifically tied to Travel Tuesday, there are still some savings to be had for holidaymakers including an extra £10 on package holidays when you sign up to the TUI app. The travel provider also runs TUI Tuesday each week which sees a host of deals drop on getaways for 24 hours only - the cheapest seven-night holiday up for grabs this week flying from Newcastle in December costs just £299 per person for a trip to Albir, Costa Blanca.
